Police in Freeport, Illinois, conduct an investigation after discovering several firearms, including an AK-47 and multiple semi-automatic pistols, at an Airbnb rental. Officers were called by the property owner to remove unruly guests when they noticed a loaded pistol in plain view on a table.
During the search, police found seven semi-automatic pistols, three of which had illegal modifications allowing automatic fire. The five individuals present at the Airbnb are all residents of Rockford, and charges are pending as the Illinois State Police performs a forensic analysis of the seized weapons.
