Hamilton police have arrested 21-year-old Lachlan Rabut in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store on Fennell Avenue East. The incident occurred around 12:48 a.m. on July 16, when Rabut allegedly entered the store wielding a concealed firearm and demanded cash from staff before fleeing the scene.
Fortunately, no injuries resulted from the robbery. Rabut now faces charges of robbery with a firearm and failure to comply with an existing release order. Authorities encourage anyone with further information about the incident to reach out to police or Crime Stoppers.
