A 19-year-old man and a juvenile have been arrested in Havelock following an attempted armed robbery at a Circle K gas station early Sunday morning. The pair approached the gas station wearing ski masks and armed with handguns but fled when they noticed an employee on the phone with 911, prompting a swift police response.
Following a brief foot chase, police apprehended both suspects. Authorities recovered two firearms, both reported stolen, with K9 Rowan assisting in locating one of the weapons discarded during the pursuit. The adult suspect, Hunter Eaton, faces multiple charges including attempted armed robbery and larceny of a firearm, and is held on a $150,000 bond as officials explore charges for the juvenile involved.
