A 21-year-old man is in fair condition at a local hospital after being shot in both legs while attempting to break into a car early Tuesday morning in Hegewisch, Chicago. According to police, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. when a concealed carry license holder confronted the man as he was trying to break into the vehicle in the 13400 block of South Green Bay Avenue.
Following the shooting, the man was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center and subsequently arrested, although no charges have been announced yet.
