The Idaho Fish and Game Commission has allocated $100,000 in grants to various organizations aimed at improving fish and wildlife habitats and expanding recreational opportunities related to hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Among the recipients are the Idaho Trails Association and Kootenai Valley Sportsmen, which are set to enhance backcountry trail access and provide youth hunting clinics, respectively.
Notably, the grants will support projects like the youth pheasant hunting clinic at the Boundary-Smith Creek Wildlife Management Area, conducted in partnership with the First Hunt Foundation. These targeted grants highlight the commission’s commitment to fostering sustainable wildlife populations and recreational activities that can enrich Idaho’s outdoor heritage.
