Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP have successfully seized illegal firearms and drugs following the arrest of a suspicious driver in a rental vehicle last week. The incident occurred on Thursday, October 23, when officers in the 400-block of Paul Lake Road identified a prohibited driver exhibiting concerning behavior, leading to the discovery of restricted guns, drugs, and cash during the arrest.
Superintendent Jeff Pelley highlighted the importance of disrupting the drug trade, stating such operations contribute to community safety. The suspect has since been released pending charges related to the Criminal Code, Firearms Act, and Motor Vehicle Act.
