In a significant update, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) announces changes to deer hunting regulations, effective July 1. Among the key modifications is a restructured bundle license that now specifically allows hunters to take one antlered deer and two antlerless deer, responding to feedback from local hunters.
Additionally, for the first time, there will be a limit on the number of antlerless deer a hunter can harvest, set at six, following a public poll. These changes reflect the DNR’s commitment to streamline hunting rules while ensuring sustainable deer populations. To provide more information, the DNR is hosting a public webinar on these updates.
