Judge Sentences Man Shot by Kuna Police to 90 Days

Jeremiah Bainbridge, a 24-year-old from Idaho who was shot and injured by Kuna police last August, receives a sentence of 90 days in jail along with probation after pleading guilty to felony charges of domestic violence-related battery and eluding law enforcement. During his sentencing, Bainbridge expressed remorse for his actions, describing how the ordeal has changed his outlook on life.

The incident that led to his shooting involved Bainbridge leading police on multiple pursuits before being stopped on Interstate 84, where officers believed he posed a threat, prompting them to use deadly force. With a maximum potential sentence of 10 years if he violates probation, Bainbridge now aims to rebuild his life, with plans to pursue his degree and improve his family connections while participating in a behavioral change program.
