Julianne Moore Initiates Gun Safety Campaign

Actress Julianne Moore takes a significant step toward addressing gun violence by launching a new campaign with Everytown for Gun Safety. The initiative, known as the Everytown Creative Council, aims to unite celebrities and creative individuals to advocate for gun safety, a cause Moore feels personally compelled to support, especially after the tragic Sandy Hook school shooting in 2012.

Moore has already garnered the commitment of 79 fellow celebrities, including noted figures like Steve Carell, Reese Witherspoon, and Ellen DeGeneres. In her outreach efforts, she discovered a strong willingness among industry peers to participate, describing the overwhelming positive response as a testament to the collective urgency regarding this critical issue. She emphasizes the importance of balancing Second Amendment rights with the responsibility of promoting public safety.
