A 53-year-old Kentucky man, Scottie Shelton, is indicted on multiple federal charges, including drug trafficking and illegal firearms possession, following the discovery of a disturbing “torture chamber” on his property. The indictment, issued on August 28, also includes allegations of possessing an unregistered destructive device, amplifying the severity of his situation as he faces potentially life-altering consequences in court.
During a search of his property in Laurel County, authorities uncovered more than 8 kilograms of methamphetamine, 73 loaded firearms, and various poached wildlife remains, raising serious concerns about public safety. Among the unsettling findings was a cell-like room outfitted with weapons and restraints, although no evidence of torture was documented. Shelton’s trial is set for November 10, where he could face extensive prison time if convicted.
