Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place late Wednesday night outside a motel near downtown, where a woman was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers on patrol heard the gunfire around 10:50 p.m. and quickly responded, but despite being rushed to the hospital, the woman succumbed to her injuries.
Homicide detectives are actively working to gather information from witnesses and the scene as they investigate what authorities believe to be an isolated incident. Traffic has been blocked off in the area surrounding Fremont Street and Eastern Avenue while police conduct their inquiries, and they have urged anyone with information to contact law enforcement or Crime Stoppers.
