The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is actively seeking applicants for its 38th Enforcement Academy, which will commence in March 2026. This academy is designed to train cadets in enforcing the state’s boating and fisheries laws, along with broader law enforcement duties related to wildlife management.
Interested candidates can apply from December 1 to December 22, with opportunities for both POST certified and non-POST certified individuals to participate. To qualify, applicants must achieve a score of 77 or higher on the Protective Services Exam. The academy will feature a hybrid training model, with a completion timeframe of approximately 14 weeks for POST certified candidates and 22-24 weeks for those who are not yet certified.
