Leesburg Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery Shooting

A man is injured following an armed robbery in Leesburg, Florida, on February 16, with police now searching for the suspect. Officers discovered the 51-year-old victim shot in the upper body after responding to reports of the incident on Truitt Street, and he has since been stabilized at a local hospital.

Authorities have identified the suspect as 36-year-old Henry Demetria Darity and are issuing an arrest warrant on charges of attempted homicide and armed robbery. The Leesburg Police Department encourages anyone with information to come forward, as tipsters might be eligible for a cash reward.
