Lewiston Shooting Victims Sue US Government

A group of 100 survivors and families of victims from the Lewiston, Maine, mass shootings has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government, alleging that military officials failed to act on critical warnings about the shooter, who was an Army reservist. Attorneys representing the plaintiffs highlight disturbing evidence gathered after the tragedy, raising serious questions about accountability in light of the attack that left 18 dead.

Among the plaintiffs, Ben Dyer, who was shot five times and suffered a permanent injury, shared his harrowing experience, emphasizing the long-term consequences of the violence. The lawsuit seeks to address systemic failures that potentially contributed to the tragedy, drawing attention to the pressing issue of violence and public safety.
