A 23-year-old man, Mohamed Hosny, is arrested after allegedly bringing a loaded ghost gun into Yale New Haven Hospital following a transfer from a mental health facility. The weapon, which had no serial number and was modified to fire automatically, was discovered by hospital security after Hosny discarded it in a trash bag during a safety check.
Authorities report that while there were no signs of a planned assault against hospital staff, Hosny faces multiple charges, including possession of a high-capacity magazine and carrying a pistol without a permit. His bond is set at $150,000 as police investigate links to a recent firearms incident in East Haven.
