A 36-year-old man in Des Moines, Iowa, is on the run after a loaded handgun he stored in his kitchen oven fired multiple rounds, injuring him in the process. Police believe Dameian Buckner had two handguns and a “delivery quantity” of marijuana at his residence when they responded to reports of gunfire, escalating their search for him following the bizarre incident.
Authorities indicate that Buckner suffered an upper arm injury when the gun discharged as the oven was heating, and he now faces serious charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. Local law enforcement is urging the community to assist in locating Buckner, as he has active warrants out for his arrest.
