The Allen County Conservation Club hosts its 16th annual pheasant hunt, inviting young people and veterans to experience the joys of hunting on Copus Road. With over 40 youth and approximately 20 veterans participating, the event promotes outdoor skills in a time when traditional hunting is declining in the region.
The club emphasizes the importance of introducing youth to hunting, as club president Cory Lieurance points out that engaging them is vital for the future of the sport. In addition to the thrill of hunting, which fosters responsible recreation, the event features trained dogs assisting participants, making it a memorable experience for both young and seasoned hunters alike.
