The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) is accepting applications for its youth lottery hunts, targeting deer and waterfowl on Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) for the upcoming 2025-2026 season. Young hunters aged 10 to 17 can apply until August 31 for deer hunts and until September 30 for waterfowl hunts, providing a unique opportunity for youth to engage in outdoor recreation and conservation efforts.
Each lottery application comes with a $5 fee and an additional $3.50 transaction fee, as paper submissions will not be accepted.
