LPD Seeks Public Help in 7-Eleven Armed Robbery Case

The Lynchburg Police Department is actively investigating an armed robbery that took place early Sunday morning at a 7-Eleven located in the 2300 block of Fort Avenue. At approximately 1:13 a.m., a masked male suspect entered the store brandishing a rifle and demanded cash from the clerk before fleeing the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

Authorities have released surveillance images of the suspect in an effort to solicit help from the public. Police are urging anyone with information regarding the robbery to reach out to Detective Bond at (434) 455-6161 or contact Crime Stoppers at (888) 798-5900. The investigation is ongoing as officials work to piece together the suspect’s identity and apprehend him.
