A 43-year-old man from Charlotte becomes the victim of an armed robbery when his 2022 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 is stolen from his home early Wednesday morning. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reports that the incident occurred just before 3 a.m. on Lakeland Drive, where the victim was assaulted by unknown individuals who used a handgun to forcibly take the luxury work van, valued at approximately $45,400.
In addition to the vehicle, police noted that other items, including eggs, were also taken during the robbery. The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The authorities continue to investigate the incident as residents remain on high alert following this violent theft.
