Brice Charest, a 36-year-old resident of Dover, is facing serious charges after allegedly robbing Papa J’s Pizzeria at gunpoint on Thanksgiving Eve. The incident was captured on surveillance video, revealing Charest wearing a black mask and brandishing a firearm, which he used to intimidate staff during the robbery.
Charest, who has a history of armed robberies, was arrested just hours after the crime based on a tip from his cousin who saw news coverage of the incident. He made off with approximately $459, and even after the cash was handed over, store owner Jason Parker described his confusion as Charest continued to demand money. As this case unfolds, Charest’s previous criminal background may play a significant role in potential sentencing, which could reach up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
