Brandon Dewavn Parker, a 41-year-old man from Spartanburg, South Carolina, is arrested and charged with attempted murder after he allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend in a Walmart parking lot on Tuesday evening. The shooting occurred around 7:30 p.m. when a security officer at the store heard multiple gunshots and found the woman with a gunshot wound, identifying Parker as the shooter who fired from his vehicle.
The victim, who was hospitalized and is reported to be in stable condition, claims Parker began firing as they crossed paths in the parking lot. After being shot, she attempted to reach the officer at the front of the store but was hit again. Parker was arrested in Kentucky, still wearing the same clothes, and a firearm similar to the one used was discovered in his vehicle.
