Cleveland Heights police are investigating a frightening incident at The Haunted House restaurant, where a customer reportedly displayed a handgun after mistaking a server’s playful actions for flirting. The altercation unfolded when the male diner became upset over a script-appropriate interaction; he believed a character portraying Michael Myers—famous for his silent and menacing demeanor—was flirting with the mother of his child during a birthday dinner.
The situation escalated when the man, frustrated after a minor encounter with the server, confronted him outside and threatened to use his gun, stating, “Oh, you got a knife. Well, I have bullets.” The police are treating the case as an aggravated robbery due to the gun involvement, prompting an urgent investigation and review of surveillance footage. Witnesses reported the man and the woman with him leaving the restaurant after a tense encounter that included threats directed at staff.
