Leo Lacey, a 48-year-old man from Eau Claire County, enters not guilty pleas to several serious charges, including possession of a firearm by a felon and first-degree recklessly endangering safety. The charges stem from a May incident in which Lacey allegedly pointed a firearm at a victim he had known for over a year, leading to a police pursuit following a traffic stop.
During the incident, police discovered a loaded magazine in a vehicle connected to Lacey, and he later claimed the weapon was a BB pistol meant for “playing” rather than an actual firearm. The court has set a status conference for November 5, 2025, as the case unfolds with multiple charges pending against him, including felony bail jumping and disorderly conduct.
