A 28-year-old man is hospitalized after being shot by police outside a Riverside bar where he had displayed handguns to patrons. The incident, which occurred at Shindigs Country Kitchen Bar & Stage, began when the bar owner alerted authorities about Isaac Ambriz’s intoxicated behavior and visible firearms, prompting a police response shortly thereafter.
Surveillance footage shows Ambriz approaching officers with his hands raised but reportedly reaching for his waistband, leading to an officer firing shots. Despite not initially threatening patrons, police later discovered one of the handguns in a vehicle, while Ambriz faced charges related to firearm possession and obstructing law enforcement. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is now investigating the shooting.
