A man is shot and killed by Plano police Wednesday night after he allegedly fired a weapon at officers responding to a disturbance call. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Ridgewood Circle, where officers were informed that a woman had been shot at the residence. Upon arrival, police confronted the armed suspect, who discharged his weapon at them, prompting an officer to return fire and fatally wound him.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, though his identity remains undisclosed. Meanwhile, the female victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and no additional injuries were reported.
