Mandeville Man Dies After Police Shooting Incident

A man who was shot by police in Mandeville on Friday afternoon has died in the hospital, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office. This incident began when deputies responded to reports of a woman being shot and encountered the man outside his home on Jasmine Street, where he allegedly fired at them before police returned fire.

Tragically, after the shooting, deputies discovered the body of a woman inside the residence, adding complexity to the unfolding investigation. The identities of both deceased individuals remain unconfirmed as autopsies are scheduled, prompting authorities to withhold further details for now. The Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
