Police have arrested 39-year-old Anthony Hamilton in Mattapan on multiple charges, including indecent assault and unlawful firearm possession. The arrest occurred after officers on patrol witnessed Hamilton allegedly grabbing the buttocks of a female passerby, prompting an investigation that revealed he also assaulted another victim, according to reports from District B-3 police.
During the arrest, Hamilton reportedly resisted officers’ commands, leading to a violent struggle. In the course of detaining him, officers discovered a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun with a defaced serial number hidden in his fanny pack. With multiple serious charges on the table, including resisting arrest and possession of a loaded firearm, Hamilton is scheduled for arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
