Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS) initiates a significant gun safety campaign this week as part of Suicide Prevention Week, aimed at safeguarding students during critical mental health moments. Additionally, the initiative features a drawing for biometric safes, donated by Safe Kids Missoula, encouraging safe firearm storage in homes. This campaign is particularly vital in Montana, where suicide is the leading cause of death among teenagers, highlighting the need for comprehensive safety measures during mental health crises.
