The Milton Police Department has arrested 21-year-old Jayden Jamarco Wright, charging him with murder after a shooting on Monday afternoon that left Tervon Jackson, 31, dead. Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. to reports of gunfire near Lucille Johnson Park, where they discovered Jackson with multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing three males fleeing the vicinity shortly after the shots were fired, prompting the police to deploy a K-9 unit. This unit tracked the suspects to a nearby swamp, where the individuals were found hiding along with clothes matching witness descriptions and two semi-automatic handguns. An autopsy of the victim has been completed, and investigators continue to process the recovered firearms for forensic analysis.
