Minneapolis Shooter Bought Gun Days Before Attack

Surveillance footage reveals that the Minneapolis church shooter, Robin Westman, legally purchased a .38 Special revolver just four days before he opened fire during a Catholic school Mass, resulting in the deaths of two children and injuries to 21 others. Kory Krause, the owner of the gun shop where Westman bought the weapon, described him as “friendly” and “knowledgeable,” noting that he displayed no alarming behavior during his time in the store.

Westman, who had a documented history of chaos leading up to the attack, spent nearly 40 minutes browsing a variety of firearms without triggering any red flags in the store’s background checks. The tragic incident has raised significant questions about gun purchasing protocols and the ability to recognize potential threats, prompting further discussions within the community and law enforcement on how to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
