Missoula Man Sentenced for Drug and Gun Possession

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Montana has announced that Skyler Crowder has been sentenced to 11 years and three months in prison for possession of illicit drugs and firearms discovered in a Missoula motel room. Authorities seized methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, and multiple guns while executing a search warrant in October 2024.

Crowder’s case highlights ongoing drug distribution issues in the region, as he pleaded guilty in July 2025 to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. Following his prison sentence, he will serve five years of supervised release, underscoring the serious legal consequences faced by individuals in possession of dangerous narcotics and weapons. The growing link between drug use and crime in Montana warrants close attention from the community.
