Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP) is set to release nearly 18,000 pheasants across various locations this fall, including wildlife management areas and fishing access sites. This initiative, aimed at fostering a new generation of hunters, officially kicks off the 2025 hunting season that began on October 11.
As part of the rollout, FWP has already released over 2,000 birds statewide to prepare hunters for the season. Officials encourage enthusiasts to consult the updated Upland Bird Hunting Regulations before heading out, ensuring a responsible and enjoyable hunting experience.
