A Nampa man is in critical condition following a police shooting Friday night when officers responded to reports of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, police found the man armed with a knife and, after he did not comply with officer commands, one officer discharged their weapon, resulting in the man’s life-threatening injuries.
The incident occurred near the intersection of 6th St N and 5th Ave N around 11:25 p.m. The Caldwell Police Department is now heading the investigation through the Canyon County Critical Incident Task Force, emphasizing the urgency of evaluating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
