Additionally, a 2023 poll indicated that a significant majority—over two-thirds of Nevadans—support raising the age limit for purchasing these firearms, including 55% of Republicans and 70% of parents. Despite this backing, Lombardo, a staunch Second Amendment advocate, previously rejected a similar proposal last year, leaving many advocates concerned about the future of gun regulation in the state.
