Marvin Wayne Best, 56, is arrested by New Bern police in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on the evening of October 26. The victim reported that a man approached him asking for money, which escalated to threats of violence, leading to the theft of his cell phone.
Following the incident, police conducted an investigation and identified Best as the suspect. During his arrest near the J2 building in Craven Terrace, officers recovered the victim’s stolen phone. Best now faces charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and simple assault and is being held without bond.
