New Jersey Man in J6 Riots Faces Federal Charges

A New Jersey man, Gregory Yetman, 47, faces multiple federal charges stemming from his actions during the January 6 Capitol riot, including assaulting officers with a chemical irritant. During his initial court appearance, he did not enter a plea and was ordered held without bail until his next scheduled hearing in Washington.

Evidence presented by the FBI includes body-worn camera footage showing Yetman spraying a chemical irritant identified as MK-46H at police officers. While previously stating he had aided those affected by such irritants, the affidavit suggests his actions were more aggressive, raising serious legal implications for Yetman as among nearly 1,200 individuals charged in connection with the Capitol events.
