The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department announces that waterfowl hunters are prohibited from placing their hunting blinds until September 6 this year. Fish and Wildlife Commissioner Jason Batchelder emphasizes this regulation aims to foster respect among hunters, enhancing their collective safety and enjoyment during the hunting season.

Additionally, the annual youth waterfowl hunting weekend is set for September 27 and 28, where licensed hunters aged 17 and younger can hunt ducks and geese under adult supervision.
