Newport News police are actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred Wednesday morning at a Truist Bank on Denbigh Boulevard. The incident unfolded around 9:42 a.m. when a man entered the bank, displayed a firearm, and demanded cash from a teller before fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as wearing dark-framed sunglasses, a navy blue hoodie, light-colored pants, and camouflage slides.
