Niles Police Seek Suspect in Armed Robbery Case

The Niles Police Department is actively searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery that took place at a gas station on Vienna Avenue. The incident occurred on Monday when a man allegedly threatened the cashier with a note claiming he had a bomb and a gun, successfully obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing toward a nearby Giant Eagle.

According to investigators, the suspect was notably dressed in a white mask, blue gloves, dark pants, and a red/black jacket, with a camo hoodie underneath. Police were unable to collect any DNA from the scene and are urging anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity to reach out to Detective Roberts at aroberts@thecityofniles.com or via phone at 330-652-9944, ext. 2158.
