The incident involved Malik allegedly brandishing a handgun and threatening the victim in the café’s parking lot, after claiming he was on the run from murder charges in North Carolina.
Following a thorough investigation, police located Malik in North Carolina, where he was taken into custody on state charges and now faces extradition to Connecticut. Authorities have secured an arrest warrant charging him with first-degree robbery and threatening, with a bail set at $100,000, highlighting the serious nature of the offense.
