North Charleston police arrest 29-year-old Jahsiah Alston on multiple firearms charges after recovering two weapons during a patrol near Dutton and Sumner Avenues. Officers noticed a group of individuals acting suspiciously and, upon approach, witnessed Alston discarding one of the firearms beneath a vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that Alston is prohibited from possessing firearms due to previous violent crime convictions, with one of the recovered guns reported stolen. He now faces serious charges, including felony possession of a firearm and receiving stolen goods under $2,000, and is held at the Al Cannon Detention Center.
