Anthony D. Morris, a 25-year-old from Peoria, pleads guilty to aggravated robbery and could face up to 12 years in prison under a plea agreement with prosecutors. This follows a February 14 incident at the Lexington Hills Apartment Complex where Morris, armed with a gun, demanded valuables from residents after forcing his way inside.
As part of the agreement, Morris has other serious charges dropped, which could have led to a potential 30-year sentence if convicted. Notably, the case marks a continuation of legal consequences for those involved, as Morris’s accomplice, Haywood Drummond, is already serving a 6.5-year sentence for his role in the robbery.
