Pheasant releases intended to enhance Michigan’s hunting season are suspended following a tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of three individuals. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources announced this decision to ensure the safety of both hunters and investigators, as the crash occurred near the Rose Lake State Game Area in Bath Township, where the accident took place last Thursday.
All three victims were identified as pilots Rodolfo Pimentel Zamora, 50, and Francisco del moral Jimenez, 55, along with mechanic Alvaro Espejo Javier Rodriguez, 69, all from Mexico. As the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board investigate the crash, hunters are urged to avoid the area for their safety. Meanwhile, those eager to participate in pheasant hunting can explore alternative release sites throughout the state.
