Police Arrest Two in Johnstown Drug and Gun Raid

Authorities in Johnstown have arrested two individuals on drug charges following a raid on their home that uncovered multiple stolen firearms and illegal substances. Brandon J. Mays, 24, and Erica L. Jakab, 55, were taken into custody after police discovered Mays attempting to flush crack cocaine down the toilet during the operation. The raid resulted in the seizure of three stolen handguns, a stolen rifle, as well as cash and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.

The police executed the raid after gathering intelligence, revealing a significant connection to weapons and drugs in the neighborhood. In addition to the drugs, investigators found a total of $341 in cash, scales, and packaging materials. Both suspects were arraigned and are currently held in Cambria County Prison on substantial bail amounts, highlighting the serious nature of the offenses involved.
