Honolulu police are actively searching for a male suspect involved in an attempted armed robbery at the RRR Recycling Center in Waikele. The incident occurred on April 8 at approximately 12:30 p.m., when the suspect, armed with what appeared to be a black semi-automatic pistol, demanded money from employees who refused to comply.
The suspect, described as a 20 to 30-year-old man approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing around 140 pounds, fled the scene without any cash by vaulting over a fence toward the H-1 Freeway. He was last seen wearing a black Nike hoodie, white pants, red athletic shoes, and a white face mask.
