Wilson police are actively investigating two armed robberies that occurred within a week in the borough. The first incident took place on November 4 at Papa John’s, where a man wielding a knife demanded cash from an employee before fleeing. In a separate robbery early Monday morning at the Penn Jersey gas station, two armed men forced an employee to the back of the store while they opened registers, making off with cash and cigarettes.
In both situations, police have released descriptions of the suspects. The first robber was seen wearing a black button-down sweatshirt and jeans, while the two gas station robbers were dressed in hooded sweatshirts and masks. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Northampton County 911 or Detective Whitney Peterson, as the community seeks to enhance safety following these alarming incidents.
