Portage College Celebrates Third Annual ‘What the Duck’ Event

Portage College hosts its third annual ‘What the Duck is going on?!?’ event on Valentine’s Day, featuring games and activities designed to foster community among students. This year, the Student Association expanded the festivities with an online scavenger hunt, running from February 4 to 14, to engage students from all campuses, enhancing participation and connection.

Participants enjoyed a variety of games such as a Nerf duck hunt and a rubber duck race, all held at the Lac La Biche campus. With prizes available for both in-person and virtual attendees, the event aims to create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, particularly welcoming new international students into the fold. “While it serves as a fun and interactive experience, the primary goal is to strengthen community bonds and promote student involvement,” said Lisa Wesley, regional coordinator for the SAPC.
