Portland police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning at the Cumberland Farms convenience store located on Washington Avenue. Responding to the incident at 3:16 a.m., officers learned that a male suspect brandished a firearm while demanding cash from the cashier shortly after entering the store under the pretense of making a purchase.
The suspect, described as a white male approximately 5’10” and between 30-40 years old, fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, heading toward Ocean Avenue.
