A 15-year-old pregnant girl is in critical but stable condition following what her boyfriend described as an accidental shooting in Nashville. The incident, which occurred during an argument in their apartment, left the victim hospitalized after delivering her baby prematurely at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
According to law enforcement, the struggle began when the girl became upset over a message her boyfriend received from another girl. She reportedly retrieved a firearm from his jacket, and during their struggle, the gun discharged, injuring her in the chest. The 17-year-old boyfriend faces charges including evidence tampering and unlawful gun possession, with further charges likely as the investigation continues.
